Terms of Service

Welcome to Quick List ("Service," "App," "we," "us," or "our"). By accessing or using Quick List, you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service ("Terms"). If you do not agree to these Terms, please do not use the Service.

1. Acceptance of Terms

By using Quick List, you acknowledge that you have read, understood, and agree to be bound by these Terms, along with our Privacy Policy. These Terms constitute a legally binding agreement between you and the operator of Quick List. Your continued use of the Service constitutes acceptance of any modifications to these Terms.

2. Description of Service

Quick List is a free, browser-based to-do list and calendar application. The Service stores all user data locally on your device using browser localStorage technology. We do not operate servers, databases, or cloud infrastructure to store your data. The Service is provided on an "as is" and "as available" basis.

THE SERVICE IS PROVIDED "AS IS" AND "AS AVAILABLE" WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, EITHER EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING BUT NOT LIMITED TO IMPLIED WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, TITLE, AND NON-INFRINGEMENT.

We do not warrant that the Service will be uninterrupted, error-free, secure, or free of viruses or other harmful components. We do not warrant the accuracy, reliability, or completeness of any information provided through the Service. We make no guarantees regarding uptime, availability, or functionality.

6. Limitation of Liability

TO THE FULLEST EXTENT PERMITTED BY APPLICABLE LAW, IN NO EVENT SHALL THE OPERATOR OF QUICK LIST, ITS AFFILIATES, OFFICERS, DIRECTORS, EMPLOYEES, AGENTS, OR LICENSORS BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, PUNITIVE, OR EXEMPLARY DAMAGES, INCLUDING BUT NOT LIMITED TO DAMAGES FOR LOSS OF PROFITS, GOODWILL, DATA, USE, OR OTHER INTANGIBLE LOSSES, REGARDLESS OF THE THEORY OF LIABILITY.

Our total aggregate liability to you for all claims arising out of or relating to the use of the Service shall not exceed the amount you paid to us for the Service (which is $0, as the Service is free). This limitation applies regardless of whether the alleged liability is based on contract, tort, negligence, strict liability, or any other basis.

7. Indemnification

You agree to indemnify, defend, and hold harmless the operator of Quick List, its affiliates, officers, directors, employees, agents, and licensors from and against any and all claims, damages, obligations, losses, liabilities, costs, or expenses (including reasonable attorneys' fees) arising from: (a) your use of the Service; (b) your violation of these Terms; (c) your violation of any third-party right; or (d) any content you create or store using the Service.

8. No Professional Advice

The Service is a personal productivity tool only. Nothing in the Service constitutes professional, legal, medical, financial, or any other form of advice. Do not rely on the Service for time-sensitive, critical, or important matters without independent verification.

9. Intellectual Property

All intellectual property rights in the Service, including but not limited to the design, code, graphics, and user interface, are owned by the operator of Quick List. You may not copy, modify, distribute, sell, or lease any part of the Service without prior written consent.

The Service may contain links to third-party websites or services. We are not responsible for the content, privacy policies, or practices of any third-party sites or services. You access third-party services at your own risk.

11. Modifications to Service and Terms

We reserve the right to modify, suspend, or discontinue the Service (or any part thereof) at any time without notice. We reserve the right to update these Terms at any time. Changes become effective upon posting. Your continued use of the Service after any changes constitutes acceptance of the modified Terms.

12. Termination

We may terminate or restrict your access to the Service at any time, for any reason, without notice or liability. Upon termination, all provisions of these Terms that by their nature should survive shall survive, including ownership provisions, warranty disclaimers, indemnity, and limitations of liability.

13. Governing Law & Dispute Resolution

These Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the State of California, United States, without regard to its conflict of law provisions. Any dispute arising out of or relating to these Terms or the Service shall be resolved exclusively in the state or federal courts located in California. You consent to the personal jurisdiction and venue of such courts.

14. California-Specific Provisions

If you are a California resident, you waive California Civil Code Section 1542, which provides: "A general release does not extend to claims that the creditor or releasing party does not know or suspect to exist in his or her favor at the time of executing the release and that, if known by him or her, would have materially affected his or her settlement with the debtor or released party."

We strive to conform to the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.1 at the AA level and to comply with applicable accessibility laws, including the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA), Section 508 of the Rehabilitation Act, and the California Unruh Civil Rights Act.

We recognize that accessibility is an ongoing effort. While we make reasonable efforts to ensure the Service is accessible, we cannot guarantee that every feature will meet all accessibility standards at all times. 16. Severability

If any provision of these Terms is found to be unenforceable or invalid, that provision shall be limited or eliminated to the minimum extent necessary so that these Terms shall otherwise remain in full force and effect.

17. Entire Agreement

These Terms, together with the Privacy Policy, constitute the entire agreement between you and the operator of Quick List regarding the Service and supersede all prior agreements and understandings.
